Знали вы о том, что советские солдаты ИЗНАСИЛОВАЛИ бессчетное число женщин по пути к Берлину?

Did you know that Soviet soldiers RAPED countless women on the way to Berlin?
Did you know that German women tried to kill themselves and their children to avoid this fate?
Think it is a myth?
One source of information is the diary of Soviet officer Vladimir Gelfand.
Once, while traveling along the bank of the River Spree, he saw a group of women dragging their suitcases somewhere:
“I asked the German women where they lived, in broken German, and asked why they had left their home. In horror they told me about the grief the frontline troops had caused them on the first night the Red Army arrived here.”
“They stuck it in here,” the German woman explained, lifting her skirt, “all night long, and there were so many of them. I was a virgin,” she sighed and began to cry. “They ruined my youth. Some were old, some had pimples, and all of them forced themselves on me. There were at least twenty of them, yes, yes…” and she burst into tears.
“They raped my daughter in front of me,” the poor mother added…
Rape was not only a problem in the Red Army; American, British, and French soldiers committed rapes as well.
What was the real scale of the rapes? The figures most often cited are 100,000 women in Berlin and two million throughout Germany.
Red Army troops raped EVEN RUSSIAN WOMEN whom they liberated from camps.
I understand that some people want to know ONLY about our glorious victory in the Great Patriotic War, but is it really normal to excuse Soviet soldiers who raped girls—sometimes even nine-year-olds, sometimes in front of their mothers—because the Nazis had abused people?
I hope no one considers it blasphemous to CRITICIZE Soviet heroes who defeated fascism, but:
Violence is terrible.
One crime does not justify another.
If you want to learn more about this subject:
And yes, I DO NOT belittle the USSR’s contribution to the victory over fascism. That victory came at an enormous cost, and we should be grateful to everyone who took part in it.
“If people do not want to know the truth, want to deceive themselves and want to say only what everyone would like to hear and what sounds noble, that is stupid; it is self-deception. The whole world understands this, and Russia understands it too. Even those who are behind these laws distorting the past understand it perfectly well. We cannot move into the future until we have dealt with the past.”
