The historical museum received New Year’s gifts from the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory, with which we have been cooperating for more than two years.
The gifts include games about the UPA and the Revolution of 1917–1921, as well as a number of brochures, monographs and calendars on the history of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.
Thank you!
And on 28 December, Vitaly Gelfand, the son of Vladimir Gelfand (1923–1983), visited the museum and presented the book Diary 1941–1946.
Military diaries are a unique phenomenon. The first entries date from May 1941, and the last from November 1946.
Vladimir Gelfand went to the front in the summer of 1942 and ended the war in Germany.
The Diary has been published and republished before, but the copy presented to the museum is unique because it is complete, without abridgements or omissions.
We thank Vitaly Gelfand for this wonderful gift, which will be useful when the museum redesigns the exhibition hall devoted to the events of the Second World War.
